Day 17

He put his trust in the Lord, the God of Israel; and neither before nor after him was there anyone like him among all the kings of Judah. 2 Kings 18:5

A descendant of Solomon and David, King Hezekiah was a great king! When he took over, many Israelites had been making bad choices. King Hezekiah made it his mission to get the Israelites on the right track again by instituting lost traditions, like celebrating Passover and destroying places where Israelites worshiped false gods. King Hezekiah had a lot of work to do.

King Hezekiah’s story reminds us that good leaders are servant leaders. This means that we must never get tired of serving our neighbors and setting an example that leads others into a deeper relationship with God. Whether it is in your classroom, on the soccer field, or in your home, you must use every opportunity to lead as an opportunity to serve well!

I pledge to joyfully reawaken a culture of life in my domestic church!
