Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity
At the beginning of this Respect Life Month, we reminded you that God created you out of love, and He has a purpose for your life. He loves you and desires to be in communion with you as if you were the only person He ever created. The Eucharist is the most perfect communion on this side of heaven and nourishes our body and soul with every grace we need to live a life of love. When we gaze upon the Eucharist, we gaze upon Jesus—and He gazes back.
St. Therese of Lisieux wrote, “Do you realize that Jesus is there in the tabernacle expressly for you – for you alone? He burns with the desire to come into your heart….” When Jesus looks at you, He sees only you. He is not looking at the person behind you who is taller or the person on your left who can run faster than you. He is not looking at the person on your right who got a better grade on your last math test. When He looks at you, He fills His gaze with only you.
